About the Role
As an Emergency Veterinarian (ER DVM) you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload and clinical autonomy treating cases that you wont encounter in general practice. Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and treating emergency and critical care cases.
- Performing emergency surgical procedures as needed.
- Collaborating with specialists in oncology surgery and internal medicine.
- Working in a high-tech facility with advanced diagnostic tools.
- Participating in mentorship programs and continuing education to enhance your expertise.
State-of-the-Art Facility
- Fully equipped surgical suites with CT scanner digital X-ray ultrasound and endoscopy.
- Advanced emergency technology including Snyder oxygen cage canine & feline transfusions Liga-Sur PoliPhase sealant and GIA stapler.
- 4:1 Veterinary Technician to DVM Ratio Strong support team to enhance efficiency.
- 24-hour patient monitoring and specialized care including chemotherapy immunotherapy and isolation ward services.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active Tennessee veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one licensure transfer fees covered).
- Passion for emergency medicine and a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with veterinarians technicians and support staff.
- Open to working nights and weekends flexible scheduling available.
