We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing developing and maintaining complex data platforms ETL pipelines and analytics solutions supporting enterprise-scale systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Databricks AWS Python/Scala Oracle and Elasticsearch along with a passion for building scalable high-performance data solutions in an Agile environment.

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Lansing MI (Hybrid Onsite 2 days/week REQUIRED)

Duration: 1 year contract with possible extension

LOCAL ONLY Job Description:

Design develop and maintain complex database systems and enterprise data pipelines
Build and optimize ETL processes using Databricks Python and Scala
Develop and support data solutions using Oracle and cloud-based AWS services
Implement and manage Elasticsearch and Kibana for data indexing search and visualization
Ensure data integrity performance and scalability across data warehouse environments
Apply CMM/CMMI Level 3 methodologies and Agile development practices including test-driven development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
Support hybrid on-site operations and participate in required on-site interviews

Required Skills & Experience:

12 years of experience developing complex database systems
8 years of hands-on experience with Databricks
8 years using Elasticsearch and Kibana
8 years of experience with Python and/or Scala
8 years of experience with Oracle
5 years of experience in ETL development and data pipeline design
5 years of experience with AWS cloud services
5 years of experience with data warehousing data visualization tools and data integrity
5 years working with CMM/CMMI Level 3 processes
5 years implementing Agile and test-driven development practices

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must be local (within 60 miles of Lansing MI)
No remote-only option; relocation candidates will not be considered
Must be willing to attend onsite interviews in Lansing MI
