We are searching for an entry level service mechanic looking to gain more experience in the diesel tech industry! Join our team at Pellitteri Waste Systems Inc. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Perform small repairs as needed from DVIR books
- Perform quality inspections of vehicles prior to returning to service
- Perform oil changes and replace fuel filters
- Gain knowledge from and assist our current highly skilled diesel mechanics on projects as needed
- Work in accordance with all federal guidelines (i.e. safety DOT MOT)
Qualifications:
- Entry level is okay! We will train the right candidates that are willing to learn
- Strong mechanical aptitude and/or diesel tech schooling preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform the physical requirements of the position
- General knowledge of air brakes diesel engines and hydraulics is preferred but not required
- CDL A or B is helpful but not required for a service mechanic
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age to work as a service mechanic
