Job Summary
Flexforce Pros is currently hiring Plant Maintenance Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe efficient and continuous operations. This role supports manufacturing packaging and utility systems while following safety sanitation and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on production packaging and processing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read and interpret technical manuals electrical schematics and work orders.
Support plant systems including ozone generation chemical delivery ingredient delivery lubrication systems and PH systems.
Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
Use hand tools power tools meters and material handling equipment safely.
Communicate with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment issues affecting operations.
Maintain proper documentation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist with parts and inventory management by reporting low stock levels.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a clean safe work environment.
Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout PPE requirements confined space safety chemical handling and fall protection.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Maintenance or engineering training preferred
1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (food or beverage industry is a plus)
Experience with at least one of the following:
Electrical systems
Hydraulics or pneumatics
PLC or computer-controlled equipment
HVAC systems
Experience maintaining equipment such as:
Motors and motor controls
Relay and process control systems
Packaging and material handling equipment
Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk kneel and bend for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise levels
Willingness to work nights overtime weekends and holidays when required
