Oracle US Tax Team is looking to hire a senior VP-caliber tax leader to join the Global Controversy organization and serve as a strategic hub for high-impact tax controversy leadership global tax risk governance and cross-functional execution. This onsite role requires in-person presence with Oracle Tax leadership located in the Oracle Denver Colorado office is designed for a seasoned tax executive who can operate at enterprise altitudeanticipating risk shaping global tax posture and driving alignment between tax strategy and broader business prioritieswhile also ensuring disciplined delivery across complex multi-jurisdictional initiatives. The creation of this VP-level role is driven by the increasing scale complexity and strategic impact of global tax controversy risk across the enterprise. As the company continues to expand internationally execute complex cross-border transactions and engage in M&A and restructuring tax audits and disputes have become more frequent more interconnected and more consequentialboth financially and reputationally. Tax controversy matters now span multiple jurisdictions tax regimes and stakeholders requiring coordinated decision-making and consistent positions at a global level. Without dedicated executive ownership risk management becomes fragmented and reactive increasing exposure and reducing the organizations ability to proactively influence outcomes. This position is needed to establish clear senior-level accountability strengthen global governance and elevate tax controversy management to the same strategic level as other enterprise risks. It also acknowledges the growing sophistication of tax authorities increased use of data analytics and heightened regulatory scrutiny which demand more centralized leadership and foresight. Overall the role will ensure that global tax controversy risk is managed proactively consistently and in alignment with the companys evolving business strategy and risk profile. The VP will manage and coordinate internal and external resources to implement company tax savings strategies and ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns while managing a professional staff. The VP will be an integral partner in Oracles business decisions to enhance shareholder value by providing tax-related advice globally to all business units. Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal state local and international reports develop corporate and/or organizational policies and authorize/oversee their implementation and recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. Represent the company on tax matters in government professional and industry associations. The VP will manage the team to direct research; analysis and interpretation of federal state and local statutes and manage and oversee the impact of international tax laws and regulations on Oracles tax positions. The VP will assist the Tax leadership in the US in creation of division strategy and consult with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. The VP will also ensure a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures. Strong business and tax technical skills needed.



Responsibilities
  • Lead Oracles global tax controversy strategy for proactive consistent risk management.
  • Oversee resolution of cross-border tax audits disputes and litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Align tax risk governance with Oracles enterprise and business objectives.
  • Establish and ensure disciplined global tax controversy governance and coordinated decision-making.
  • Anticipate and mitigate global tax risks through strategic foresight.
  • Develop and implement tax policies systems and procedures for compliance.
  • Provide senior-level tax guidance on M&A restructuring and business initiatives.
  • Drive tax savings strategies and optimize global tax positions in line with applicable laws.
  • Manage and mentor the tax controversy team to build technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Lead interpretation and analysis of federal state local and international tax statutes.
  • Collaborate with Legal Finance and external advisors to resolve complex tax disputes.
  • Represent Oracle before tax authorities government bodies and industry groups.
  • Integrate data analytics and technology in managing tax controversy and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain executive-level oversight accountability and transparent reporting for all tax controversy matters.
  • Monitor and respond to evolving global tax authority enforcement and regulatory trends.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $213900 to $457800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus equity and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
