About the Role
A leading internationalorganization within the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB)sector is seeking an experienced Engineering Architect to join its TechnologyArchitecture team.
You will work in a fast-pacedinternational environment supporting technology governance and helpingengineering teams adopt modern architecture standards cloud solutionsDevSecOps practices and best-in-class engineering tools.
This role is ideal for a seniortechnical expert with strong architecture skills hands-on developmentbackground and the ability to influence teams toward scalable secure andefficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic studies on programming languages frameworks and technology stacks
- Ensure application teams comply with Technology Standards while designing and delivering solutions
- Review and contribute to technical designs architecture documents and specifications
- Identify manage and report technical risks
- Conduct technology domain assessments and architecture evaluations
- Validate technologies and software used across the organization
- Drive innovation by proposing new engineering practices and tools to improve efficiency
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and rapid technical evaluations of emerging technologies
- Promote adoption of modern engineering practices across teams
- Contribute to the evolution of DevSecOps toolchains and secure engineering processes
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience as a Technology Architect / Engineering Architect
- Solid knowledge of architecture principles and patterns
- Strong expertise in Cloud hosting models (IaaS PaaS KaaS)
- Proven experience developing and delivering complex production applications
- Strong capability to guide teams in applying appropriate design principles patterns and guidelines
- Experience analyzing multiple architecture styles:
- Monolithic
- N-tier
- SOA
- Microservices
- Cloud-based and virtualized architectures
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes OpenShift Docker)
- Familiarity with middleware and infrastructure components such as:
- WAF
- Load Balancers / VIP
- MQ
- Event Brokers
- API Gateways
- Strong understanding of Application Security & Architecture Security including:
- Encryption (at rest / in transit)
- Authentication & Authorization
- Vulnerability Management
- Threat Analysis
- Strong analytical mindset to validate technical designs against enterprise standards
- Ability to produce clear reports and present technical conclusions to senior management
Nice to Have
- Exposure to the financial services / banking sector
- French language skills
- Experience with modern DevSecOps ecosystems and enterprise toolchains
