Senior Accountant
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant position on behalf of our client. This role is suited to a detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise leadership ability and experience within a manufacturing or production environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
Manage and resolve audit queries and assist with the audit process in collaboration with the CFO
Compile trial balances general ledgers lead schedules consolidations and required disclosures for Annual Financial Statements
Maintain accounting systems control accounts trial balances general ledgers asset registers and sub-ledgers
Oversee and manage accounting processing and reconciliations
Management Accounting
Compile monthly group management accounts and financial reports
Assist with planning coordination and preparation of budgets including calculations and forecasts
Perform medium- and long-term financial forecasts and scenario analyses
Plan and compile capital budgets for capital expenditure and financing requirements

Minimum Requirements
Valid drivers licence
Relevant accounting qualification articles or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant including team management
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Advanced spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel formulas and financial modelling)
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum of 10 years accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Sage (advantageous)
Experience with Power BI reporting (advantageous)
