Job Summary
The Senior BI/ Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.
This role combines advanced analytics business intelligence and data storytelling to bridge the gap between data and business. The incumbent is responsible for delivering high-impact insights building scalable reporting solutions and enabling a data-driven culture across the organisation.
- Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends risks and opportunities
- Translate business problems into analytical solutions using SQL statistics and modelling techniques
- Conduct deep-dive analysis forecasting and scenario modelling
- Deliver proactive high-impact insights that influence strategic decisions
- Design develop and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting solutions
- Establish and enforce best practices for data visualisation and reporting
- Drive automation of reporting processes
- Ensure consistency accuracy and performance of reporting outputs
- Apply statistical methods and advanced analytics techniques to solve business problems
- Prepare datasets for data science and AI/ML initiatives
- Identify opportunities to embed predictive and prescriptive analytics
- Ensure data quality integrity and governance across systems
- Bachelors degree in Statistics Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics or related field
- 5 years of experience in data analytics reporting business intelligence or related roles
- Advanced SQL and strong experience with BI tools (Power BI Tableau Qlik SAP Analytics Cloud etc.)
- Proven experience working with large complex datasets and delivering actionable insights
- Strong experience in dashboard development and reporting frameworks
- Solid understanding of data modelling ETL processes and data warehousing
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL pipelines data lakes) and cloud platforms (like Azure AWS or GCP).
- Postgraduate qualification in Data Science Business Analytics or related field
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP)
- Programming experience in Python or R
- Exposure to SAP environments (e.g. SAP BW/4HANA)
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their business application
- Industry experience (e.g. retail healthcare financial services)
- Advanced SQL and strong experience with BI tools
- Data modelling ETL and data warehousing knowledge
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Data Analytics or a related field 25 years of experience in business intelligence reporting or data analysis Proven experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Qlik SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite) Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing solutions. Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL pipelines data lakes) and cloud platforms (like Azure AWS or GCP).
