We are looking for an experienced Documentation Executive - Customs Clearance to manage and prepare all documentation related to export and import cargo clearance at ports (air and sea). The role involves close coordination with exporters customs clearance agents and field operations teams to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance while complying with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare verify and submit all documents required for export and import customs clearance including invoices bills of lading certificates of origin E-Sanchit checklist and other statutory documents.
Handle AD Code registration and ensure all related documentation is accurate and complete.
Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations import/export laws and trade guidelines to avoid delays or penalties.
Stay updated on customs rules tariff classifications and trade agreements.
Coordinate with exporters customs clearance agents and field operations executives to ensure smooth clearance of cargo.
Liaise with customs officials to facilitate timely clearance of shipments.
Identify address and resolve issues related to customs clearance such as holds discrepancies or delays.
Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
Monitor and manage costs related to customs clearance including duties taxes and service charges.
Requirements
- Graduation in any stream.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in customs clearance for export and import (air and sea).
- Good command of English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel email communication).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and good coordination skills.
