What you will do
As aconsultativemember of the Country Management Group (CMG) and the leader of the risk and compliance function in the Country Office (CO) the Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for:leading theCOs efforts to effectively manage risks;promoting a risk management culture;ensuringtheCOs compliance within high-risk areasandwith regulations not specific to a given functionandrespondingtoany issues or questions that ariserelating to the COs work onPSEA DPR legal Code of Conduct and complaints management.
Key responsibilities:
Support theCMG andtheCountry Director (CD)byensuring ThatrisksintheCOs operations areidentifiedassessedand controlled effectively;andCOs compliance within high-risk areas
Ensure thatrisk management and compliance relatedCO registersandStandards Operating Procedures (SOPs)Registerare complete and up to date.
Advise and supportin-country function leaders(Head of Support Area Managers Head of ProgrammesHead of OperationsHealth Safety and Security Manager)in implementing compliance improvement measures related to high-risk areas/issues.
Ensure thatSOPsin the CO are aligned with policies and regulationsare coherent with other SOPsthroughout the CO and NRCand follow basic quality principles.
Ensurethatmechanismsto reportprocessand respond tocomplaintson staffbehaviourfrom internal stakeholders(whistleblowing)are in placein the COand in line with existingNRC requirements.
Provide advice training and support to COstaffonareas of expertise held by theR&C functionat HO(Risk management complianceAnti-corruptionData Protection Code of Conduct legaland complaints management andcompliance with regulations not specific to a given function ( COTER sanctions).
Contribute to the development ofNRCsRisk Management framework by reporting and documenting lessons learned and best practicesin the CO.
Management of staff and resources of the R&Cfunctionat CO.
What you will bring
Minimum5years of experiencefrom working as amanagerin complianceauditingor risk managementfunctionsorfrom working assenior managerin the humanitarian sector.
Strong technical expertise in Risk and Compliance.
Knowledge and skills in the international regulatory context applicable for INGOs.
Knowledge and skillsinany of the following:safeguarding accountability to affected populations or CodeofConductrelated matters.
Knowledge and experiencefrom working with partners
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of the Ukraine context as well as the countrys regulatory procedures.
Fluency in English both written and inUkrainian languageis desirable.

What we offer
Duty station: Kyiv Ukraine.
Contract: 12 months full time employment (with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance).
Travel: 30%.
Salary/benefits: Grade 9 on NRCs grading structure.
