JOB PURPOSE:

This internship is designed to improve the candidates knowledge and experience in the Employee Benefits field. This person will interact with all members of the Account and Production teams. Projects and tasks will vary based on capacity but will include an introduction to the marketing process agency management system vendor interaction data management underwriting and client work.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with Agency Management System.

Assistwith analyzing and summarizing claims information.

Review insurance company contracts for accuracy.

Attend carrierpresentations learningabout product offerings.

Research and development.

Assist Technical Development Department with department audits.

Participate in various professional development and educational sessions withEastRegion intern cohort.

Handle special projects as assigned.

Attend meetings related to your position.

JOBSPECIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be aSophomoreorJuniorstudying Risk ManagementandInsurance with a focus on Employee Benefits.

Mustpossessa high levelof motivation and excellent attention to detail.

A high school diploma.

Highproficiencyin MS Office Suite.

Ability to use discretion andmaintainconfidentiality.

Above average spelling and grammar skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

High levelof organizational ability and ability to multi-task.

Professional demeanor.

Ability to be proactive and work independently.

Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Detail-oriented with good analytical skills.

Regular and predictable attendance.

Proficient in Graham standard computer applications.

Employeesare required tobe fit-for-duty which includes not being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.This includes any drugs that mightimpactan employees ability to safely perform theirjob.

The applicable hourly rate for this role is $25.
