This position is hybrid. This role will support the agency in developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies that amplify mission objectives and foster meaningful audience connections. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong analytical capabilities adept at balancing strategic planning with tactical execution in a fast-paced government environment. The Social Media Coordinator will serve as the primary digital voice and strategist responsible for the complete lifecycle of social media operations from strategy development to execution and analysis. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Strategic Planning & Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with customer objectives and organizational goalsDesign and execute targeted social media campaigns utilizing platform-specific strategies for maximum impact and reachResearch and recommend emerging tools platforms and best practices to continuously enhance digital presenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader communication strategies and Department of Defense guidelinesContent Development & Management:Create capture curate and publish timely engaging content that maintains consistent brand messaging across all digital channelsDevelop compelling articles for internal and external audiences supporting traditional communication effortsProvide photography services for senior leaders events and organizational activities as requiredManage daily social media publishing schedules ensuring optimal timing and frequencyCommunity Engagement & Monitoring:Monitor social media trends conversations and emerging topics relevant to agency mission areasRespond to audience interactions promptly and professionally fostering community engagement and dialogueProactively identify and capitalize on opportunities for real-time engagementMaintain awareness of competitive landscape and industry best practicesAnalytics & Reporting:Conduct in-depth analytics to track key performance indicators including engagement reach sentiment and conversion metricsAnalyze engagement metrics and provide data-driven insights to optimize content performanceProvide regular reports with strategic recommendations for continuous improvementTranslate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholdersRelationship Building & Collaboration:Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer principals and staff to identify content opportunitiesCollaborate with leadership to maximize publicity through integrated digital and traditional media approachesServe as subject matter expert and advisor on social media best practices and emerging trendsEducation and Experience:Required:Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Public Relations Journalism Digital Media or related field from an accredited college or university5 years of professional experience in social media management digital marketing or related communications role3 years of experience developing and executing social media strategies for organizations or brandsDemonstrated experience working in government military or highly regulated environmentsPortfolio demonstrating successful social media campaigns and content creationSecurity Requirement:Must have a final Secret Security ClearanceUnited States Citizenship required Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
