Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pediatrics
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule
Shift Types: Mid & Night Shifts
Schedule: Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 32 Hours
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80 Hours
Pay Rate: $28$32 per hour
Position Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pediatrics provides direct and indirect patient care within a Pediatric Float Pool at a Level I Trauma Center. This role supports nursing staff by assisting with daily patient care activities while promoting patient safety and delivering compassionate family-centered care.
Responsibilities
Obtain and accurately record vital signs
Assist patients with activities of daily living including toileting bathing feeding and mobility
Serve as a safety companion for pediatric patients identified as safety risks
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Demonstrate understanding of normal pediatric growth and development
Collaborate effectively with nurses physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain a safe clean and therapeutic patient environment
Communicate professionally with patients families and care team members
Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
Participate in unit-based activities and quality improvement initiatives
Uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality
Engage in ongoing personal and professional development
