Own global accounting policies for Wind Services activities including:
o Revenue recognition under ASC 606 for service contracts and LTSAs
o Accounting for contract assets contract liabilities and unbilled receivables
o Warranty provisions service guarantees and loss contracts
Evaluate and document accounting positions for complex or non-standard service arrangements
Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and position papers
Ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet accounts including reserves and accruals
Own the Services controllership framework including SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) including:
o Account reconciliations journal entries and substantiation in accordance with SOX/internal control requirements
Serve as primary finance contact for internal and external audits related to Services
Proactively identify control gaps and lead remediation plans
Assist in complex and technical issues advise and resolution engaging and communicating with multiple stakeholders as applicable and identify risks during pacing reviews that might represent exposures for the quarter.
Process Standardization & Systems
Drive global standardization of accounting processes policies and documentation across regions
Lead improvements in financial systems ERP and consolidation tools supporting Services accounting
Enhance automation and controls around revenue cost recognition and balance sheet accounts
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
CPA certification strongly preferred
10 years of progressive accounting and controllership experience in a global environment
Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP particularly ASC 606
Experience with service-based or long-term contract accounting
Strong understanding of SOX internal controls and audit processes
Experience with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle)

Ability to interpret complex contracts and translate terms into accounting treatment
Effective communicator with auditors and senior finance leadership
