The Regional NbS Business and Partnership Coordinator (RNPC) will play a key role in coordinating field implementation across project locations. The position focuses on supporting the Deputy Team Leader Value Chain and Landscape Business Development Specialists in partnership strengthening ensuring coherence quality and synergy between technical interventions stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy at the regional level to enable NbS business models replication and scaling up.
Responsibilities
Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement 25%
- Serve as regional partnership focal point ensuring strong collaboration between SNV provincial government agencies (PPC DAE DOF etc.) private sector actors research and extension institutions and community organizations. Collaborating with the Value chain/ Business Specialists in management of co-investment packages and joint business models between public and private actors ensuring economic viability and environmental sustainability.
- Support the development of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) partnership frameworks and action plans and monitor partner commitments and progress.
- Document and disseminate lessons learned from partnership experiences to inform national and provincial policy advocacy.
Regional Coordination and Field Oversight 50%
- Coordinate planning implementation and monitoring of VN-ADAPT field activities across all components in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between provincial authorities consortium partners and the SNV technical team.
- Support the Deputy Project Manager in consolidating provincial work plans budgets and progress reports.
- Facilitate joint missions training events and cross-component learning to enhance integration and coherence of project outcomes.
- Act as focal point for field coordination troubleshooting implementation issues and ensuring adaptive management monitoring field activities to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Organize partnership dialogues business roundtables and learning exchanges to stimulate collaboration and attract investment in NbS-based value chains (e.g. aquaculture rice perennial crops).
- Liaise with Environmental and Social Safeguard and Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist for implementation of gender- and socially responsive value chain analyses identifying constraints and opportunities in access to land finance technology and markets.
Multi-Stakeholder Platform and Learning Support 25%
- Contribute to the facilitation of inputs into provincial and regional multi-stakeholder platforms (MSPs) for NbS promotion and policy dialogue.
- Support SNV project team in evidence generation and communication of policy recommendations derived from field experiences.
- Liaise with provincial departments and to leverage engagement and implementation of activities related to planning and policy frameworks (e.g. integration of provincial climate-smart agriculture green growth and adaptation plans into provincial agriculture plan providing NbSA evidence to contribute to climate change strategic framework).
- Collaborate with the Project management communications and MEL teams to produce knowledge products.
- Support the MEL Advisor in monitoring and reporting.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting.
- Other duties as assigned by line manager
Qualifications :
- Vietnamese citizen
- University degree in agriculture natural resource management environment/development studies or related field; Masters degree is an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project coordination sustainable agriculture value chain development or NbS implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in working with provincial governments SMEs and cooperatives
- Strong skills in partnership development and facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes required
- Technical knowledge of NbS climate-resilient agriculture or sustainable land use in the Mekong Delta or Central Highlands is desired.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in Vietnamese and English.
Competencies:
- High level of organizational problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Good networking skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills; Creativity in solving problems
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to target provinces.
