Product Engineering Supervisor

• Manage and develop the plant product engineering group through regular staff meetings one on ones coaching feedback technical guidance business goals creation and development plan guidance.
• Create development plans to broaden the technical knowledge of the group and to generate technical competencies according to the indicators.
• Communicate effectively across functional groups (product engineering design homerooms CAE quality assembly purchasing manufacturing etc.).
• Lead root cause problem solving analysis and develop design solutions to manufacturing issues warranty issues and cost reductions.
• Handle multiple complex design proposals and changes simultaneously.
• Update DFMEAs to minimize risk priority numbers for all Irapuato products.
• Complete complex system and component level dimensional stack-up studies.
• Analyze drawing deviations for technical functional risk. Approve or reject design deviations based on engineering analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality address non-conformance to drawings and develop design cost reductions.
• Create review and edit product drawings for design improvement.

• B.S Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree required.
• 8 years of experience in the automotive in product engineering required.
• Experience in administration coaching and developing employees required.
• Advanced English required.
• Knowledge in IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 preferred.
