Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant ()
The Academy is seeking a Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant to join a project on diaspora global history and transnationalism.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct library and textual research;
- Perform digital searches;
- Retrieve material from digital databases and translate;
- Edit and curate texts; and
- Support other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Requirements:
- Amasters degree or above in History or related disciplines; applicants with a doctoral degree or relevant qualifications may be considered for a Research Associate position;
- Proficiency in conducting manual and digital searches for research materials;
- Curiosity about the history of Hong Kong ethnic minorities and cultural hybridity;
- Good analytical communication organisational and problem-solving skills; and
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
The initial appointment will be offered on a contract of 5 months starting early March 2026.Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
