Junior Design Engineer – BIW & InteriorExterior Trims

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our engineering team focusing on Body in White (BIW) and Interior/Exterior Trim components. This role is ideal for candidates at the beginning of their career who want to grow their technical skills in an automotive environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and validation of BIW and Interior/Exterior Trim parts and systems

• Creation and modification of 3D and 2D designs using CATIA V5/V6

• Handling and updating data within PDM tools

• Participation in dimensional stack-up studies

• Preparation and maintenance of digital and physical model synthesis files

• Application and compliance with design rules and customer specifications

• Support in feasibility and costing (DFC) requests

• Contribution to DFC evaluation files for product changes

• Management of part lists and assembly details for production line integration

• Support in technical convergence studies

• Updating technical issue analysis files and action plans

• Coordination of supplier documentation (IMP IMDS drawings)

• Preparation of assembly agreements and parts validation summary files

• Basic design calculation summaries and documentation updates

Qualifications :

• 6 months 1 year of experience in automotive design 

• Educational background in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related fields

• Basic experience or exposure to BIW and/or Interior/Exterior Trim components

• Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6 (3D & 2D)

• Understanding of automotive design processes and documentation

• Good communication skills and willingness to learn

Nice to have:

• Experience working on Stellantis projects
