Role & Responsibilities

Overview:

Our Custom (PMR) business unit in Singapore is an established division of our Healthcare Service line having been in operation for over 20 years. During this time the unit has grown into a successful multimillion dollar business.

As the leader of this business you would be responsible for overseeing a team of 18 researchers which service over 20 pharma and medical device clients in the APAC region

You would manage and develop key clients and prospective client accounts deliver inspirational and profitable work; influence the strategic direction of the business and drive team and business growth for the Custom (PMR) business unit within the Healthcare Service Line at Ipsos Singapore

Financial Accountability:

  • Generate significant contribution to Ipsos in terms of:
    Revenue from new and existing clients
  • Identify and implement ways of improving efficiency and profitability
  • Identify and act upon commercial opportunities within the HealthcareService Line
  • Anticipate evolving/ new commercial trends and respond to them appropriately

Project Expertise:

Activate:

  • Make effective pricing decisions based on experience hard facts client situation and knowledge
  • Design innovative winning proposals in response to healthcare primary market research briefs
  • Lead pitches and or oversee pitches for healthcare primary market research briefs

Conduct:

  • Ultimate accountability on all aspects of the set-up and design of projects
  • Ultimate accountabilityfor the execution of complex projects and higher value work
  • Use and direct others in the application of advanced research techniques
  • Accountable for project and account profitability
  • Ultimate accountability for quality procedures on projects

Deliver:

  • Direct the team to deliver presentations focused on insights and story telling
  • Make strategic recommendations from findings adding value to clients by taking a problem-solving approach
  • Deliver inspiring client presentations

Embed:

  • Accountable for ensuring project learnings are actioned
  • Identify opportunities for and secure further client work

Team management and Development:

  • Accountable for the management of resources/projects across the team
  • Build capability within the team identifying and nurturing star performers
  • Attract and recruit new talent to the team be a strong and effective ambassador for Ipsos

Performance Development:

  • Drive the continuous development and career progression of people you line manage
  • Guide the setting of clear motivational and measurable development objectives for people and regularly review performance against these

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of strong market research / insights experience in the healthcare sector and good application of healthcare industry knowledge
  • Experience in team / business unit leadership
  • Solid experience in client servicing and execution of healthcare market researchincluding design and recommendations
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Social Science Biological Science Healthcare / Pharmacy Statistics or related studies. Masters Degree preferred but not essential
