About the Role

A major international financialinstitution is strengthening its Cybersecurity & Digital Frauddivision and is looking for a Data Security Expert to join its deliveryteams in Portugal.

This role sits at the heart ofthe organizations Enterprise Security strategy working closely with acentral cybersecurity team based in France. You will contribute to defining andevolving the Group-wide approach to data protection and cryptographyensuring security controls are aligned with business needs and emergingthreats.

Key Responsibilities

• Define security requirements and strategic guidelines for Data Security and Cryptography across the Group
• Support international entities and subsidiaries in implementing encryption and data protection measures
• Analyze and evaluate security risks business impacts and propose remediation actions
• Participate in technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) for cryptography and data security solutions (including innovative technologies)
• Drive continuous technology watch on cybersecurity trends cryptographic evolution and emerging risks
• Contribute to the development and knowledge-sharing culture of the internal cybersecurity community

Scope & Areas of Expertise

You will contribute to advancedsecurity topics such as:

• Data security at rest and in transit
• Data masking anonymization and privacy-enhancing techniques
• Encryption services in private public and hybrid cloud environments (O365 Azure IBM Cloud AWS)
• Cryptographic Key Management (CKMS HSM secret management)
• Digital signature and cryptographic trust services
• Security for Data Science and Big Data environments (Data Lab Big Data platforms)
• Evaluation of Privacy-Enhanced Computing (Homomorphic Encryption ABE SSE etc.)
• Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) readiness crypto-agility and crypto-inventory

Main Activities

• Assess robustness of designs and evaluate data protection mechanisms (including key management)
• Define best practices and guidelines for Blockchain usage in an enterprise environment
• Collaborate with cryptography and data security expert streams across the Group
• Guide projects toward the most appropriate protection techniques (cryptography anonymization masking)
• Perform risk analysis and propose effective countermeasures
• Define and maintain security requirements for cryptography and data security
• Contribute to approaches for cryptographic asset inventory and crypto-agility initiatives

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in IT Risk Management and Cybersecurity
• Solid knowledge of cryptography algorithms and enterprise implementation
• Understanding of Quantum Computing fundamentals and its security implications
• Strong awareness of cybersecurity threats and state-of-the-art security practices
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as:

• ISO 27001 / ISO27k
• NIST
• CIS Controls
