Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Laboratory Technician. This is an onsite long-term contract role in Novi MI. The reason this position exists is to support increased testing demand by performing hands-on automotive testing sample management and laboratory analysis to ensure accurate safe and timely test results while working directly with customers.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field (Chemistry Biology Laboratory Technology) or equivalent hands-on lab experience
Hands-on experience using Excel for data entry logging and reporting
Hands-on experience using a multimeter for testing (required)
Previous laboratory technician or testing experience preferred
Experience working with customers or external stakeholders
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods equipment operation and safety protocols
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
Ability to accurately document and report test results
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and on a team
Willingness to stay current on lab technologies and testing best practices
Ability to work in a primarily seated role performing hands-on testing

What Youll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)
Receive label handle and safely store samples according to protocols
Perform hands-on automotive testing using multimeters and lab equipment
Determine appropriate tests and conduct accurate analysis per procedures
Document results clearly and maintain organized testing records
Communicate test results and answer questions from internal teams and customers
Maintain lab equipment including cleaning calibration and basic upkeep
Maintain daily logs and records of testing activities and equipment usage
Follow all safety guidelines and compliance requirements
Continuously improve testing accuracy by learning new methods and tools

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $15 - $19 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
