Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for a seasoned API Automation Testing professional with 8-10 years of experience in designing developing and maintaining robust automation solutions for RESTful services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Rest Assured Selenium and SQL along with the ability to drive quality initiatives in Agile environments.

Design and implement API automation frameworks using Rest Assured
Automate REST API test cases covering functional regression and integration scenarios
Validate API responses request/response payloads headers and authentication mechanisms
Perform backend/database validation using advanced SQL queries
Maintain and enhance UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins Git Maven/Gradle)
Review automation code and enforce best practices and quality standards
Collaborate with developers product owners and architects to understand API designs
Analyze test failures identify root causes and ensure timely defect resolution
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Participate in test planning estimation and release activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

8-10 years of experience in Software Testing with strong focus on API Automation
Excellent hands-on experience with Rest Assured (Java)
Good experience in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
Strong proficiency in Java
Solid expertise in SQL for database testing and data validation
Experience with TestNG / JUnit
Strong understanding of REST architecture JSON/XML and API security (OAuth tokens)
Experience with Git Maven/Gradle
Sound knowledge of SDLC STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Good to Have
Experience with Microservices-based architectures
Exposure to API performance testing
Knowledge of Postman / Swagger
Familiarity with Docker Kubernetes or Cloud platforms
ISTQB or relevant QA certification.
