Achievement Centers for Children is seeking a Seasonal Office Assistant to support front office and administrative operations at Camp Cheerful. This role is the first point of contact for families visitors and staff and plays a key role in creating a welcoming organized and professional camp environment.
If you are detail oriented friendly and enjoy a fast paced setting where your work directly supports campers and families this is a strong summer opportunity.
Position Overview
The Seasonal Office Assistant supports front office and administrative operations for the Recreation Department at Camp Cheerful. This role helps create a welcoming experience for families and visitors while keeping camper and staff documentation organized accurate and compliant.
What Youll Do
- Welcome families and visitors answer phones and provide a positive first impression
- Support daily camper check ins and assist with basic questions and needs
- Maintain camper and seasonal employee files in alignment with documentation standards
- Assist with HR paperwork and onboarding support for seasonal staff
- Update CampBrain records upload camper documents and send informational emails to families
- Make daily attendance calls and support required tracking and reporting
- Keep the office organized manage basic supplies and support general camp operations
- Attend daily pre and post camp meetings with program leadership
- Report incidents concerns or policy violations immediately to management
What Youll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
- Strong customer service communication and organization skills
- Detail orientation and reliability in handling confidential information
- A friendly flexible team focused approach with the ability to work independently
Required Dates and Training
- New professional staff must attend: May 27
- Required training dates: June 3 4 and 5
- Training may include CPR First Aid AED CPI and DODD requirements
Working Conditions
- May include early mornings evenings and occasional weekends
- Some outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift supplies and assist with camp activities as needed
