VAT Compliance Specialist

You will become part of our VAT Compliance department belonging to Group Tax with its offices in different countries. Weare responsible forsupporting the entire ROCKWOOL Group with VAT and sales tax compliance processes intheirbroadest sense.

The VAT Compliance Specialist reports to the VAT Compliance Manager in Poznan and is part of an internationalteamwhich is expected to develop significantly over the coming years This both in terms of types of tasks standardization ofprocessesand automation of tasks.

What you will be doing:

The role of a VAT Compliance Specialist is tobe responsible forthe compliance process from preparation to submission of VAT and other indirect tax-related filings.The responsibility also includes controllingin accordance withthe control matrixpreparingandmaintainingall documents asstatedby the Tax ControlFrameworkandsupportingcolleagues in the VAT Team with ad hoc tasks. The main tasks cover:

• Extract reportsanalyzethe data and prepare VAT returns and statistical reportingin order toproduce high-qualityaccuratesubmissions by statutory deadlines;

• Perform controls according to the Tax Control Matrix incl. reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for VAT;

• Prepare andmaintainVAT compliance process documents/manuals;

• Participating in transition of the VATIntrastatand other indirect tax-related processes;

• Maintain good relationship with local finance taxadvisorsand other relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective cooperation;

• Sparring and support in solving issues improvestandardizingand automate processes;

• Provide support in various projects preparation of data to tax authorities trainingsessionsand ad-hoc VAT advisory within ROCKWOOL;

• Besides VAT the tasks could also cover different reporting and controlling activities related to other sales taxes import duties customs excise duties energy taxes Intrastat etc.

What you bring:

• University degree (in finance/economy);

• 1-2 years of work experience with VAT;

• SAP knowledge or shared service center experience (knowledge of the VAT compliance processes and VAT regulations in Poland and/or abroad);

• Strong problem-solvingand analytical skills;

• Strong senseof responsibility and ownership pro-activeness;

• Flexible and goal-oriented;

• Ready for changes and use ofnew technologyin everyday work;

• Excellent communication skills in English;

• Goodteam-player.
