Job Mission

As a Senior Backend Engineer youll join our Energy Deal area (Tibbers Energy Retail Platform) owning the full energy subscription lifecycle from sign-up to termination including market integrations consumption/volume handling invoicing payments and collections. Youll shape clear system boundaries build great APIs and tooling and help ensure a scalable reliable platform across markets

What youll do

• Build evolve and operate backend services within a microservices ecosystem (across billing payments volume market communication and internal tooling)
  

• Take operational ownership: monitoring incident response on-call readiness and continuous reliability improvements (DevOps)
  

• Drive measurable improvements in within the area for example improve payment rate
  

• Collaborate closely with product engineering and market specialists to turn complex requirements into solutions
  

• Reduce complexity by clarifying boundaries defining interfaces and improving service-to-service contracts
  

• Champion a platform mindset by treating internal APIs and tools as products used by other teams
  

• Contribute to technical discussions architecture work and longer-term initiatives across all of our markets

What were looking for

Someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex systems and shipping improvements that matter. You thrive in an environment where youre trusted with high accountability and real impact. We also believe that you:

Have senior backend experience building and operating distributed systems in production environments

Bring strong engineering practices (testing observability CI/CD) and care about running what you build

Are comfortable in high-transaction domains where correctness traceability and reliability are non-negotiable

Collaborate with a team-first mindset: invite input early surface blockers fast and give/receive feedback in a constructive way

Located in Stockholm or Førde (or open to relocating) and able to work from our office 2-3 days/week

Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points if: experience within the energy market billing/payments or financial systems internal platforms/dev tooling or parts of our stack (.NET Kafka Kubernetes AWS Postgres)
