In this position you will join a lean finance team and work closely with the Site Finance Leader contributing across a broad range of finance activities. Although the role includes accounting and statutory responsibilities the main emphasis is on controlling financial analysis and management reporting making it an attractive opportunity for someone who wants to develop beyond traditional accounting.
You will be involved in both day-to-day financial operations and forward-looking analysis supporting management with insights structure and transparency in a listed environment.
Controlling analysis & business support (main focus)
Prepare and interpret management reports including performance and variance analysis
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and monitor deviations
Translate financial data into clear insights and KPIs for management
Contribute to business cases investment evaluations and profitability analysis
Accounting & reporting responsibilities
Support the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
Take part in month-end and year-end closing activities
Assist with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements
Contribute financial input to internal and external reports
Audit tax & compliance exposure
Support audit processes and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors
Assist with local tax-related topics and compliance requirements
Help ensure internal controls and accounting standards are applied consistently
Processes systems & improvement
Participate in improving finance processes and reporting practices
Work with ERP and reporting tools (e.g. Oracle)
Document procedures and contribute to finance transformation initiatives
Collaboration & stakeholders
Work closely with the Site Finance Leader and internal business teams
Support operational stakeholders with financial input and analysis
Coordinate with external accounting or finance service providers
Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in accounting audit finance or controlling
Good understanding of financial statements and core accounting principles
Motivation to grow further in controlling analysis and business partnering
Exposure to BE GAAP and local regulations is an asset but not a strict requirement
Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP or BI tools is a plus
Fluent English; Dutch and/or French is considered an advantage
A learner mindset and openness to expanding your scope
Analytical thinking combined with a pragmatic hands-on approach
Ability to work independently in a lean and dynamic environment
Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Comfortable communicating with different stakeholders
