What you will do
This is a high visibility position within one of Sensormatics leading client teams. You will define create and build leading data visualizations derived from custom client data elements along with a cross functional group of solution and data experts. You will be a key member in defining and scoping client engagements. The data analyst client leader will participate in the data science development efforts directly aligned to scoped projects Statements of Work (SOW). To be successful the candidate will need to be able to interpret customer requirements evaluate available data sets tie data sets to outcomes to actionable insights. Working well with others and being customer facing a necessary skill set. Exceptional organizational people and management skills are a must for this position complimented by strong understanding of clients environment data repositories ETL standards and client security protocol and standards.
How you will do it
Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to RFID technology in retail environments.
Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyze data from various databases.
Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and provide actionable insights.
Manage and optimize database systems to ensure data integrity and performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues ensuring timely resolution.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis RFID technology and retail analytics.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends.
Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency across all data sources.
Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
Provide training and support to team members on data-related tools and best practices.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new data tools and technologies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and workflows.
What we look for
Bachelors degree in data science Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Data Analyst preferably in a retail environment.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with RFID technology and its applications in retail.
Expertise in data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
