THE ROLE:
Our site in Chaska MN is seeking a Quality Technician II to join our team.
As a qualitytechnician you will ensure incoming in-process and finishedproducts allmeet the highest quality standardsandcustomer involves tasks like developing and providing advanced metrology skills collectingspecsdataand conducting analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions tomaintainquality standards. Additionally you will actively collaborate with manufacturing quality inspection and manufacturing engineering staff to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 2PM-10PM OR 10PM-6AM MONDAY-FRIDAY.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Conducts regular process audits to ensure compliance with applicable procedures
Demonstrates advanced measurement and inspection skills including CMM programming troubleshooting and application of complex electronic non-contact measurement equipment.
Developnewinspection methodsto enhance efficiency of processes.
Creates Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for changes to inspection procedures control plans and aesthetic specifications.
Supportsthe New Product Development Teams and Manufacturing Value Streams with part measurements and analysis.
Provides measurement support to Manufacturing for advancedmeasurement tools or automated measurement equipment (set-upprogrammingteachingand training troubleshooting etc.).
Participatein theon-site calibration programtoensure allmetrologyinstrumentsare calibratedin a timely manner.
PerformsFirst Article inspections Capability Studies and MeasurementSystems Analysis &participatesin Gage R&R studies for measurement system analysis.
Supports cleanroomenvironmental monitoring and testing asrequired. Supportsinvestigation ofout-of-specificationresults and impacton product quality.
AssistsinNew Product Development activities (development of inspectionplans data collection for Validation and qualification etc.) to ensureproducts released to manufacturing meet quality performance goals
Participatesin continuous improvement (Lean and Six Sigma projects)within assigned manufacturing areas and quality processes
Authorsand/or reviewsprocedures work instructions testspecifications and other documents
Assistswith quality notifications; creating or reviewing new qualitynotifications ensuring product is blocked assigningand monitoring tasks.
Assistswith customer Return Auth Process (posting goods verifying required documentation was provided (CAR form) verifying partnumber& counts decontamination processing assigning QN tasks.
Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction waste elimination growth costeffectivenessand product/system and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value in continuous improvement activities such as 6s Kaizen events etc.
Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety potential hazardsimmediatelyto supervisor.
Completes miscellaneoustasksassigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
WHAT WE SEEK:
Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
2 to 5 years experience as a quality inspector or quality technician in a manufacturing/cleanroomenvironment orequivalenteducation/experience.
Prior experienceutilizingSAP or other Quality Management Systems.
Advanced metrology data entry analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read mechanical or electrical blueprints including interpretingGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) hydraulic andpneumaticssymbols.
Experience using various measurement equipment including calipers micrometers gauge pins dialindicator surface plate optical comparators.
ProficiencyinCMM programming.
Excellentverbal and writtencommunication skills. Abilityto communicate effectively with employeesat all plant organizational levels.
Ability towork independently in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Familiar withacceptancesampling standards and plan(AQI).
