The position will be responsible for strategic program development implementation and administration of the College of Laws Digital Initiative and the Center for Technology and Innovation in Practice. The professional in this position will also conduct training sessions focused on technology and innovation in law practice including but not limited to the application of AI to law practice.
Job Functions and Tasks:
- Directs program administration overseeing all budgets interpreting policies and procedures and supervising staff.
- Monitors projects program evaluation and development of long-range plans.
- Writes grants and contract proposals and manages grants and contracts.
- Serves on various committees and represents the unit to public and client groups.
- Ensures the evaluation of programs instruction and training.
- Develops divisional goals and objectives.
- Oversees project management.
- Conducts technology training sessions for law students and law faculty on the use of legal and academic technologies through the Colleges Digital Initiative.
- Creates online training opportunities for the College of Law community.
- Provides technical support and leading expertise for the application of emerging technologies including AI technologies provided by the College of Law to the College community.
- Coordinates technology certification program to assess and advance the competencies of all students.
- Investigates emerging technologies for possible use in the College of Law curriculum and law practice.
- Tracks trends investigates new developments and applications and incorporates appropriate technologies into College of Law business practices as well as training for students.
- Builds relationships with legal technology vendors law firms bar associations and other related constituents.
- Coordinates external and internal events relating to technology and innovation in law practice including training sessions symposia workshops etc
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to increase the Digital Initiatives capacity in College programming.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
