AECOM is seeking a Program Controls Lead to join our team. This position is designed for a seasoned program controls leader who can operate at a strategic level while ensuring disciplined execution across large multi-project environments.
In this role you will provide senior-level oversight and direction for program controls partnering closely with executive leadership to align cost schedule risk and performance with overarching program objectives. You will lead coordination across diverse project teams navigate interdependencies and ensure consistent data-driven decision-making through clear authoritative communication with stakeholders at all levels.

This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Oversee and direct Program Controls for large-scale strategically significant and highly complex programs.
- Provide authoritative senior-level guidance for program controls activities ensuring strict adherence to strategic objectives established by executive leadership.
- Spearhead coordination efforts across multiple projects within the program guaranteeing seamless integration and unwavering alignment with overarching program goals.
- Conduct thorough analyses to identify and address critical interdependencies between projects.
- Deliver expert counsel and rigorous oversight to project controls teams ensuring meticulous management of individual project elements.
- Orchestrate precise and effective communication between project teams stakeholders and senior leadership delivering comprehensive and actionable intelligence.
- Implement and maintain stringent control measures to safeguard program integrity and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and enforce standardized processes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness across all project phases.
- Conduct regular in-depth program performance assessments and risk analyses providing strategic recommendations for course corrections when necessary.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability and excellence within the program controls team fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
- Orchestrate clear concise and authoritative communication between project teams stakeholders and senior leadership delivering insightful and actionable updates. Ability to present to multiple stakeholders.
Program Environment & Expectations
- This role operates within a large highprofile federal program that requires close and continuous coordination with the Program Management Office (PMO). Successful candidates are expected to work seamlessly across field and headquarters teams ensuring alignment with programwide controls standards reporting requirements and governance processes. While technical proficiency specific to this role is defined in the description the successful candidate is expected to have a working understanding of cost schedule and document information and to navigate and interpret integrated data across these disciplines. This role requires the ability to collaborate across functional controls disciplines contribute to integrated performance reporting and provide clear consumable insights for diverse stakeholders through enterprise reporting environments. Given the visibility and complexity of the program strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills are essential along with sound professional judgment when engaging with senior leadership clients and external partners.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Construction Management Engineering or related field; plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 2 years of leadership.
- Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience
- Masters degree in Project Management Engineering or Business
- Strong experience with Project Management Information System (PMIS)
- Experience with large federal projects
- Experience in integration of controls - scope cost schedule risk reporting
- Experience in PowerBI report tailoring for program specific needs

- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
