Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes at MercyOne Des Moines AND MercyOne West Des Moines
Outreach: Yes. Potentially Newton Iowa 6 days per month
Telehealth: Yes
Job Description: Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage for 4/5 days per week. Inpatient coverage of both sites
Number of Physicians: 1
Number of Advances Practice Providers: 0
Supervision of APPs expected: NO
Nursing Support: 1:1
Medical Imaging: Yes
Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 10-30
Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-15
Appointment Length: consult - 40 minutes follow up - 20 minutes
Patient Population: Primary Clinic - Medicare/ Medicaid/Commercial; Secondary Clinical - Commercial Medicare
EMR: EPIC

Services offered in the practice
Patient assessments new treatment plans ongoing treatment plans changes in therapy referral for ancillary services end of life care chemotherapy management pain management (radiation and surgical oncology management provided by existing providers with strong relationships)

Conversion fee ($25k rate cap)
Travel Reimbursement:
Flights - $750/round trip cap (to include all taxes and fees). No upgraded airfares or seat upgrades
Lodging - 1.5x the GSA rate cap average for the total stay (to include taxes and fees)
Rental Car - $55/day cap (including all taxes and fees) regardless of car class. SUV/upgrades over cap will need to be preapproved (will only be approved if needed for inclement weather)
Mileage - IRS Standard Rate

Requirement description :
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology - REQUIRED
Active IA License or Active IMLC (please upload LOQ at time of name clear) - REQUIRED
Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology - REQUIRED
Must be experienced - REQUIRED
Provider must be willing to work on both MercyOne Des Moines and MercyOne West Des Moines - please note at time of name clear - REQUIRED
Clean Malpractice/Background - REQUIRED - please upload Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) at time of presentation
