Job Summary
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Financial Markets) to join a dynamic fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology with a strong focus on trading systems and South African financial market products.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in translating business needs into effective technology solutions working closely with stakeholders across the business and IT landscapes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Requirements
- 7 years experience in a Business Analyst role within a similar environment
- Strong understanding of financial products in the South African financial markets
- Proven experience in the configuration and maintenance of trading systems
- Solid analytical documentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience across capital markets including equities fixed income derivatives or money markets
- Exposure to trading platforms market data systems or post-trade systems
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather analyse and document business and system requirements
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technology teams
- Support the configuration enhancement and ongoing maintenance of trading systems
- Collaborate with developers vendors and operations teams to ensure successful system delivery
- Conduct impact analysis for system changes and enhancements
