Whats the role

Were seeking a Senior Manager Framework and Standards to play a key role in strengthening product governance across the Westpac Group. Sitting within the Product Governance and Performance team this role is responsible for designing maintaining and uplifting the Groups Product and Service Lifecycle (PSL) frameworks standards procedures and guidance.

Youll help drive a consistent one best way approach to product governance supporting the business to effectively manage products across their lifecycle while delivering better customer outcomes. Working closely with product teams across Lines of Business and Divisions youll provide expert advice and practical guidance on the application of product governance standards including Product lifecycle Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) collateral management Product data and related regulatory requirements.

This role also plays a critical part in simplifying frameworks uplifting product governance maturity and enabling capability and knowledge sharing across the Group. Its an opportunity to influence how products are governed at scale working at the intersection of policy risk customer outcomes and practical delivery.

What do I need

  • Proven experience in product governance product management risk or regulatory frameworks within financial services
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management governance standards and regulatory obligations (including DDO)
  • Demonstrated ability to design implement and simplify frameworks standards and procedures
  • Experience providing advisory support and practical guidance to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive consistency across complex organisations
  • Capability to identify and uplift governance tools systems and controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and usability
