Job Description: Ground Instructor - Piston Aircraft
Position Overview
CAE is seeking a professional and dedicated Ground Instructor to support the Japan Airlines (JAL) Multi-Crew Pilot Licensing (MPL) this role you will deliver high-quality ground instruction to JAL cadets ensuring compliance with CAEs training standards and applicable aviation authority regulations. This position emphasizes professionalism safety and instructional excellence in preparing cadets for multi-crew airline operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Deliver in-person and remote ground instruction in accordance with CAEs training standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure JAL cadets meet course objectives and training milestones.
- Promote professional behavior and safety through exemplary conduct and teaching by example.
- Monitor cadet progress and proactively address delays or performance issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely cadet records including exam planning and documentation.
- Reinforce safety management system (SMS) principles in all instructional activities.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and report facility issues promptly.
- Participate in monthly standardization meetings and instructor development sessions.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives for instructional quality and safety.
Required Qualifications

- Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) and Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) ratings.
- Clean aviation record with no accident or violation convictions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
- Fluent in English.
- Team-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience teaching international students particularly those with English as a second language.
- Multi-crew pilot experience (Part 135 Part 121 or military background).
