Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to support retail Point of Sale (POS) system implementations across multiple locations. This role will manage end-to-end deployment activities coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure on-time on-budget delivery of POS solutions in a dynamic retail environment.

This position requires a strong combination of project management discipline retail POS domain expertise and comfort with frequent travel to support on-site implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead POS implementation projects from initiation through go-live and stabilization
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans timelines risks and dependencies
  • Coordinate with internal teams vendors integrators and retail site stakeholders
  • Support on-site deployment activities including cutover planning go-live support and issue resolution
  • Track and report project status risks and milestones to leadership
  • Ensure adherence to retail operational requirements and implementation standards
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments during project execution
  • Support testing coordination training readiness and operational handoff

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of project management experience preferably in retail technology implementations
  • Demonstrated experience with POS systems (store systems payment solutions peripherals integrations)
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and store-level execution
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in contract-based delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale multi-location POS rollouts
  • PMP Scrum Master or equivalent certification
  • Experience working with third-party POS vendors and system integrators
