Sr. IT Applications Analyst

This role is primarily responsible for Deployment Supplier Enablement Stakeholder management Catalog Support grief resolution along with developing and testing Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases in the Americas Region for Caterpillar Indirect Procurement systems.

Primary Solutions for GFSD Digital Excellence Team Includes:

  • Guided Buy GEP SMART

  • NextGen Coupa

Secondary Solutions:

  • Third Party Labor IQ Navigator / Beeline

  • My Caterpillar Travel Expense (MCTE) SAP Concur

  • Expense and Procurement Card Programs

This position will help support the internal Indirect Procurement organization as well as key stakeholders across the enterprise.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues customers and suppliers at all levels.

  • Demonstrate ERP ETL Database Artificial Intelligence and Project Management skills required to collect compile assimilate communicate and maintain information as required.

  • Assess and recommend solutions.

  • Maintain the highest level of ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization.

  • Help customers with configuration deployment testing communication change management Artificial Intelligence supplier enablement catalog support master data collection training troubleshooting grief resolution and hyper care-related activities.

What You Have:

  • 4-year college degree.

  • Progressive experience with cloud-based ERP deployments.

  • Familiarity with AI

  • Great attitude to learn and develop AI models.

  • Cloud database and middleware technology experience

  • Requires effective communication skills both oral and written.

  • Must exhibit people skills and should have a collaborative work style.

  • Great attitude and willingness to learn and implement innovative technologies.

Core Application Systems:

  • Manages application-related issues implications and approaches with clients.

  • Evaluates key interfaces and interdependencies among core applications systems.

Problem Solving:

  • Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.

  • Use varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

  • Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches tools and processes.

  • Develop successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.

Requirements Analysis:

  • Plays an active or leading role in recording and storing requirement documents in various forms.

  • Produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation.

System Testing:

  • Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input output and storage channels or devices.

  • Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.

  • Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.

Technical Troubleshooting:

  • Discovers analyzes and resolves hardware software or application problems.

  • Manages calls related to product features applications and compatibility standards.

  • Analyzes code logs and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.

IT Service Management (ITSM):

  • Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) service; ability to manage IT services and oversee service operations.

  • Promotes the use of standard procedures in each function of IT services.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in Coupa procurement platform

  • Knowledge of end-to-end Source-to-Pay business process.

  • Preferred that the incumbent is familiar with basic procurement and quality principles procedures and techniques.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience in Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Experience in developing AI Models

  • Location for this role is Peoria IL Dallas TX.

  • SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS ROLE.

  • This role requires 5 days onsite.

  • 10% travel required.

Education / Experience: Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$112710.00 - $169060.00
