Role PurposeThe Product Development Leader is responsible for leading the design development and delivery of innovative investment products identified through the Product Strategy Roadmap to meet current and future customer needs regulatory requirements and business objectives. This role will:
- drive strategic product initiatives and growth opportunities
- complement and enhance the existing teams capability knowledge and capacity
- manage complex projects and
- collaborate across multiple teams to ensure BT remains competitive and compliant in a dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end product development initiatives from concept to launch
- Identify market trends customer insights and regulatory changes to inform product strategy
- Work with global fund managers to partner with BT to develop new strategies and products to market across public and private markets
- Liaising with asset consultants private banks and wealth firms as required in sourcing and developing new products and strategies
- Develop business cases and financial models to support product decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams (Distribution Marketing Risk & Compliance Legal Operation IT) to ensure seamless product delivery
- Engage with external partners and regulators to maintain compliance and industry alignment
- Ensure all products meet legal regulatory and risk management standards
- Maintain robust documentation and reporting for governance purposes
- Mentor team members and contribute to a high-performance culture and
- Represent BT in industry forums and thought leadership initiatives.
Skills & Experience- Proven experience in product development and management initiatives within financial services (investments or wealth management)
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (APRA ASIC Corporations Act)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial acumen with ability to build compelling business cases and
- Project management expertise with ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
Qualifications- Degree in Accounting Finance Business Economics or related discipline and
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA CFA CPA) would be highly desirable.
