About the role

Kids First Australia have an exciting Team Leader role working within NEMA Orange Door; a multi-agency hub that delivers high quality safe and effective responses in partnership with Family Safety Victoria (FSV).

As Team Leader you will lead a multi-agency team of highly skilled practitioners to deliver consistent evidence informed practice. Although no two days will look the same you can expect to:

• Provide expert support and guidance to practitioners ensuring a high quality of service delivery. This includes case allocation consultation closure endorsement screening triage and assessments crisis response among other tasks.
• Work with both internal and external stakeholders to foster integral positive working relationships.
• Hold a supervision portfolio with Kid First practitioners
• Participate in training and development activities to build your capability as an effective leader and practitioner.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work Psychology or similar field.
• No less than 3 years experience working the child welfare and/or family violence sectors.
• Experience working with families and children presenting with complex needs and risk issues in any of the following areas: Family Services Child Protection Intake and Assessment and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Leadership experience required
