PositionOverview
The Director of Operationsdrives the operational systems and execution required for the firm to runwith clarity discipline and this role the Directorshapesand steers McChrystal Groups operatingmodelby translating strategy into executionadvisingtheManagementTeam on priorities and managing the firms operating rhythm.

TheDirector of Operationsalso builds enterprise-wide performance visibility advances technologyenabled workflows and strengthens cross-functional the overall health discipline and effectiveness ofthe firms operating environment.

Responsibilities

    • Strategy Execution & Alignment
    • Translate McChrystal Group strategy into actionable enterprise-levelinitiatives with clear milestones accountability and resourcing.
    • Shape organizational prioritization by advising senior leaders on risks tradeoffs and operational impacts.
    • Partnercloselywiththe ManagementTeam tomaintainclarity alignment and follow-through.

    • Operating Rhythm & Process Ownership
    • Own and continuously refine McChrystal Groups operating cadence (ROPR KSFs MBRs)todrivespeed accountability and transparency.
    • Establishclearexpectations standards and accountability for how teams engage in the operating rhythm.
    • Ensure consistent follow-through ondecisions actions and enterprise initiatives.

    • Performance Visibility & Analytics
    • Build andmaintainenterprise dashboards focused on decision-driving metrics.
    • Synthesize insights to informManagementTeam decisions anddrivefirm-wide action.
    • Providetimelyvisibility intocompanyperformance trends risks constraints and opportunities.
    • LeverageAI tools to improve forecasting automate reporting and enhance insight generation.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Relationship Building
    • Serve as connective tissue across HR Finance ITGrowth and client-facing teams.
    • Strengthen cross-functional partnershipsthroughclarityaccountabilityand trust.

    • Problem Solving Systems Thinking & Operational Improvement
    • Diagnose root causes of organizationalchallengesusing structured analytical and data-drivenapproaches.
    • Designand implementpractical solutions that improve efficiency quality and execution discipline.

    • Leadership & Capability Building
    • Model healthy team dynamics communication and collaboration.
    • Buildorganizationalcapability through process clarity training coaching and shared best practices.

    • Critical Initiative Leadership
    • Lead high-impact initiatives with firm-wide implications complex stakeholderdynamics or significant operational risk.
    • Providestrongprogram management clarityof ownership and disciplined progress tracking.
    • Support major organizational transitions or change efforts through intentional integration and alignment.

Qualifications

    • Experience
    • 10 years in operations strategy execution or cross-functional leadership roles.
    • Demonstrated successleading complex enterprise-levelinitiatives and partnering with senior executives.
    • Experienceestablishing and leading enterprise-leveloperatingdisciplinesthat drive execution visibility and accountability.
    • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving capability.
    • Proficiency with AI tools workflow automation and modern operational technologies.
    • Excellent written verbal and executive-level communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong project and program management.
    • Working Conditions
    • This role is based in-office at McChrystal Group headquarters.
    • Consistenton-site presenceisrequiredtoenableeffectivecollaboration leadership engagement and disciplined execution of thefirmsoperating model.
    • The rolemayrequireextended hours during periods of high operational tempo (e.g. major initiativesclient eventsfirm-wide meetings).
