Job Summary

The Physical Therapist helps patients by checking their physical health and needs.

They create and carry out a treatment plan to help patients get better based on physical therapy methods.

This also means they need to keep track of how well the patient is doing and make changes to the plan when needed. They work with other health care professionals and keep accurate medical and business records.

The Physical Therapist is also in charge of overseeing the work of P.T. assistants and at least one student each year.

They must take part in improving the departments services community activities and program development.

**Qualifications:**

- Must have graduated from a recognized Physical Therapy program (this is preferred).

- Previous work experience in a hospital or similar setting is preferred but new graduates can still apply.

- Must have a license to practice in Vermont (a temporary license is okay for those just starting).

- Must have CPR certification.

- Must provide at least two recent references from supervisors.

**State License Requirements:**- For Vermont.
