Job Title: Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner
Location: Heart & Cardiovascular Center Misrata Libya
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner to join the team. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of patients and staff by implementing and monitoring effective infection prevention and control (IPC) programs maintaining compliance with international standards and providing guidance and education to healthcare personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Develop implement and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) programs.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with international infection control standards.
Provide training and education to healthcare staff on best IPC practices.
Investigate and report infection outbreaks recommending preventive measures.
Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to strengthen infection prevention strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of IPC activities and compliance audits.
Requirements
Minimum 35 years of experience in infection prevention control or a hospital/healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of infection control policies procedures and global standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).
Experience developing and delivering staff education programs.
Familiarity with hospital accreditation and compliance requirements.
Education & Licensing
Bachelors degree in nursing microbiology or a related healthcare field.
Relevant licensure or certification as applicable.
