In This Role
In this role you will join a collaborative engineering team responsible for building and maintaining a modern distributed web application using and React. You will work across the full development lifecycledesign implementation testing deployment and production supporton a cloudnative platform hosted in Azure Kubernetes. The role emphasizes scalable system design highquality code through testdriven development and close collaboration with product design and engineering partners. You will also play a key role in maintaining system reliability through monitoring optimization and oncall support.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable distributed backend services using deployed on Azure Kubernetes.
- Design develop and maintain responsive and userfriendly web interfaces using React.
- Collaborate closely with product managers designers and fellow engineers to translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions.
- Implement and promote software engineering best practices including:
- Testdriven development (TDD)
- Code reviews
- CI/CD pipelines
- Write and maintain unit integration and endtoend tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Monitor troubleshoot and optimize application performance scalability and reliability in production environments.
- Participate in oncall rotations and provide timely support for production incidents and incoming requests or tickets.
- Leverage Azure services such as managed databases messaging data pipelines and search to build robust cloudnative solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to distributed systems cloud computing and modern software development.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.
Qualifications
- 2 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on:
- Backend development using
- Frontend development using React
- 2 years of handson experience with distributed systems architecture and cloud computing principles.
- Practical experience working with Azure services in a production environment.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in writing automated tests including:
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
- Endtoend tests
using frameworks such as Jest Mocha or Playwright. - Strong problemsolving and debugging skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Ability to work fully onsite.
- Flexibility to support incoming requests tickets and oncall responsibilities as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azurenative services such as:
- Managed relational databases
- Kubernetesbased deployments
- Messaging and eventdriven systems
- Data integration or search services
- Prior experience supporting production systems through oncall rotations and incident management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and DevOps best practices in a cloud environment.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to technical leadership within a team.
- Exposure to largescale highavailability or missioncritical systems.
Salary Range
At Blueprint we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors including skills education responsibilities experience and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State the anticipated salary range is $100000-$110000 USD annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience skills and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidates qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
