Description

As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell you will be part of a team with the interest aptitude and experience associated with the design development integration and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Control Systems product line. You will be a technical leader and primary decision maker for program cost schedule as well as technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages design goals and objectives and drive overall program performance throughout the development lifecycle.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Tempe AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will impact the efficiency productivity and safety of our engineering operations by ensuring that projects are executed effectively and meet all technical and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program/Project Management
  • Cost account management skills in the SAP environment
  • System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Control architecture and design
  • Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
  • Mechanical Systems validation & verification
  • Customer technical interface
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.
  • Minimum of 6 years of Engineering experience with complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership skills specifically decision making driving results and bias for action.

  • Utilizes Six Sigma and program management tools as appropriate within the Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS) framework
  • Persuasion to influence others to accept new concepts practices and approaches
  • Business acumen knowledge of current and emerging practices methods and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
  • Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration
  • Physics based model development and system design
  • Experience with DOORs and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
