Job Title: IT Project Coordinator

Location: Remote - open to all US locations. Must be willing to support EST time zone.
Candidates local to Corning NY or Charlotte NC preferred.

Schedule: Full-time M-F 8am-5pm EST. Some flexibility may be required for collaboration with global teams as needed.

Interview Process: One Round Panel Video Interview

Corning is building and adopting the foundational digital capability for these company-wide efforts and are looking for a passionate hard-working and talented Project Coordinator to join a team leading transformational projects for the enterprise.

Overview
The IT Project Coordinator is a key member supporting our IT Project Management Office working closely with the Corning businesses developers data scientists analysts and domain experts to deploy IT solutions to meet customer requirements. Your work is crucial to our global digital transformation efforts because it helps deliver high quality solutions that create value for Corning. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own project tasks while leveraging agile practices where possible. Interaction with cross functional teams collaboration communication and attention to detail will be critical.

Agile practice knowledge is crucial to this role including working as part of a multi-functional agile team contributing to project plans impeccable financial tracking and managing the quality governance and testing process(es) within the project.

Responsibilities
As an IT Project Coordinator your main responsibilities will be to assist the Project Manager. This includes understanding project goals deadlines priorities resource administration financial management and assistance in preparing presentations and general coordination / administrative tasks which may include some meeting scheduling.

The project coordinator reports to the IT Project Management Office and has a dotted line to the IT Project Manager to which the projects are assigned.
The PM ultimately owns all responsibilities for the project; the Project Coordinator is to provide support.
Manage financial tracker for forecasting and spending.
Update related systems utilized for project spend.
Monitor and report on cross project dependencies.
Assist project managers with the development of work plans.
Monitor document repository to keep key information up to date.
Ensure quality timeliness and results meet Project and Portfolio Management expectations.
Act as the SDLC/ IT Project Quality Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects
Own and maintain quality deliverables including SDLC /Quality plans metrics and required approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all QA owned deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. SOX) applicable to IT systems and projects.
Lead and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements throughout the full project lifecycle for regulatory projects.
Capture and report quality metrics risks and status to project and leadership stakeholders.
Escalate quality or SDLC risks to the appropriate process owners when required
Lead and facilitate quality inspections of key project documentation and artifacts.
Lead and manage all testing activities including system integration regression performance and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Define testing scope strategy cycles timelines and resource needs in partnership with functional and technical owners.
Ensure test environments tools and data are prepared and ready prior to execution.
Manage the defect lifecycle including triage reporting and communication during active test phases.
Facilitate performance testing discovery sessions for assigned projects to determine any performance testing requirements.
Manage any impact of project changes to testing schedule and process.
Coordinate project activities and testing across multiple groups including vendor partners functional teams technical teams business representatives and IT leadership.
Facilitate and provide guidance to project and business resources for test script development.
Report on quality and testing status for the duration of the project.
Development of Test Plan/Test Approach and appropriate success metrics for each testing cycle of the project.
Responsible for defect management and coordination by collaborating with the right teams to analyze defects to determine root cause and the appropriate path to resolution.


Education Experience and Licensing:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT IS or equivalent area of technical study. (minimum required)
Certification in project management methodologies is desired but not required.
Certification in agile methodologies is desired but not required.
** A minimum of 3 years working as an IT project team member. Quality Analyst experience preferred.

Desired Skills:
Experience with Planview for resource and financial management
** Quality Management application experience OpenText ALM (Quality Center) knowledge and experience.
** Experience applying SDLC methodologies (e.g. Waterfall Agile Iterative) within enterprise IT project environments.
Power BI Report Creation - desired but other platforms may be required.
Knowledge of Confluence Planview and other associated Agile tools.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including SOX and other applicable regulations.
Knowledge and experience applying automated testing tools and processes.
Introductory Scrum or Agile Certifications/Training
AI-based testing experience
