Students analyze and create all of the emotional cultural logical symbolic intuitive and physical aspects embodied in the arts to understand and share its beauty with their are seeking candidates for an elementary music position that would be responsible for teaching elementary general music and chorus from May 13 through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
Job Description/Requirements- Demonstrate expertise of Elementary general music curriculum pedagogy and state standards to guide lesson planning
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to plan differentiated lessons to meet the needs of individual students
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to set up a nurturing classroom that continually motivates students and encourages progress
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to interact collaboratively with students parents colleagues and administration
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written skills has strong organizational skills and is confident leading a classroom of students.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage use of supplies instruments equipment and teaching resources
- Reflect a culturally responsive teaching philosophy
- Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with colleagues to build and refine engaging standards based learning experiences that are responsive to the needs and interests of the community
- Choral experience is preferred
Substitute Handbook- Position will be paid according to pages 6-7 of the Substitute Handbook; Long-Term Substitute and Interim Status.
- $100.00 per day for the first 15 days
- B1 ($301.54) or M1 ($335.00) for day 16
