Job Summary

Required Qualification(s):

  • Minimum of an associate degree in IT computer science or engineering and at least 10 years of hands-on experience in networking and/or IP management.
  • 5 years of experience in network operations infrastructure engineering and IP address management.
  • 1 year experience with IPAM tools like BlueCat Micetro or similar.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in building dashboards and reporting using Kusto SQL python or data and reporting tools like Power BI etc.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to interface with engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

1. IP Address Management (IPAM)

  • Deep understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 address planning subnetting and address space management.
  • Experience managing large-scale IP address spaces across multiple VRFs and environments (e.g. data centers WAN cloud).
  • Familiarity with IPAM platforms such as Men & Mice (Micetro) EfficientIP or BlueCat.
  • Ability to perform IP utilization analysis and capacity forecasting.

 

2. Network Infrastructure & Protocols

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including:
  • DHCP scope management and lease analysis.
  • VLAN provisioning and segmentation strategies.

3. Automation & Scripting

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) to automate IP data collection reporting and validation.
  • Experience with REST APIs for IPAM tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain scripts for data extraction transformation and reporting.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Ability to analyze large datasets related to IP utilization DHCP leases and intake trends.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Excel or internal dashboards).
  • Capable of producing weekly dashboards and monthly/quarterly reports with actionable insights.

5. Operational Governance & Intake Management

  • Experience managing intake workflows and enforcing SLAs in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with service ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow ADO) for intake tracking and audit compliance.
  • Ability to define and enforce intake policies escalation paths and closed-loop processes.

6. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Ability to create and maintain detailed process documentation runbooks and knowledge bases.

Experience working with MarkDown for documentation.
