Job Summary

Are you ready to be on the road visiting farms building relationships and closing deals Lely is entering the Mexican market with pour base in Querétaro  and we are looking for a hands-on Sales Representative who will actively drive the adoption of our robotic milking solutions. This is a operational sales role focused on direct customer interaction and commercial results.

As Sales Representative you will be the face of Lely in Mexico. You will spend most of your time visiting dairy farms explaining our Robotic Milking solutions advising farmers and converting opportunities into sales. You operate independently in the field while working closely with colleagues at our headquarters in the Netherlands and the wider Lely network. Together you ensure that farmers experience the full value of our innovative solutions from first contact to successful installation and start-up.

Within this role you have a unique opportunity to grow together with the Mexican market. You will start by doing the groundwork actively building awareness opening doors and converting opportunities into sales. As adoption increases and the business matures your impact becomes visible and tangible. Based on your performance and the growth of the market you can develop further towards a Sales Lead role taking on more strategic responsibility and supporting the expansion of the local sales organization.

Role Responsibilities and Collaboration

In this role you will be part of a small dedicated team working closely with technical support specialists farm support specialists and the local Manager Finance and Compliance. This collaborative environment ensures that you and your colleagues can effectively support customers particularly during the critical start-up phase of their engagement.

Your technical colleagues will be responsible for maintaining service excellence allowing you to focus on supporting customers and their needs. You will report directly to the Cluster Manager New Markets who is based at the head office in the Netherlands. This reporting structure provides you with clear guidance and connection to the broader organization while enabling you to contribute meaningfully at the local level.

What is your role
In this role you are responsible for generating and closing new business in the Mexican dairy market. You actively approach farmers build trust-based relationships and translate their needs into concrete solutions from Lely.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Actively visiting dairy farms to identify opportunities and sell Lelys robotic milking solutions.
  • Explaining the technology and its benefits to farmers using your dairy knowledge to advise with confidence.
  • Generating and nurturing leads through cold acquisition referrals events and national trade fairs.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from first contact to negotiation and deal closing.
  • Maintaining a clear sales pipeline and achieving agreed sales targets.
  • Collecting market insights and customer feedback

Qualifications :

You are a proactive and driven sales professional who enjoys being in the field and taking ownership of results. You feel comfortable working independently in a developing market and are motivated by working in a structured way closing deals and building long-term customer relationships.

You bring:

  • Proven experience in direct field-based sales preferably in the dairy or agricultural sector.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy farming enabling you to clearly explain technical products and processes.
  • Experience or affinity with sectors such as dairy technology milking equipment feed animal health or veterinary products.
  • A hands-on self-starting attitude with a strong focus on results.
  • Willingness to travel extensively visit farms daily and represent Lely at national trade fairs.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English spoken and written.
  • Openness to relocation to Querétaro  Mexico or already based there.
  • Ambition and potential to grow into a future team lead role as the business expands.
