Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Patient Account Management (PAM) team on a PRN (as-needed) basis in Woodlawn United States. As a Unit Based Tier IV PAM RN you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate patient billing and seamless communication between clinical and financial departments.
- Review and analyze patient accounts to ensure accurate billing and coding
- Collaborate with clinical staff to gather necessary documentation for billing purposes
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and facilitate reimbursement
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient account management
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding billing and insurance matters
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the billing process
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Perform other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis
Qualifications :
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience in patient account management or related healthcare finance role
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software
- Strong understanding of medical billing coding and insurance reimbursement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed (PRN) basis
- Experience with PRN scheduling preferred
