Job Summary
Heres What You Need
- Bachelors Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program is required
- 2 years of experience in inpatient/acute care is strongly preferred.
- OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
- Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
- Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
- Utilizes available resources (equipment support personnel educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and to meet personal developmental needs
- As required participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures
- Documents and reports unusual occurrences on the job injuries and medical device malfunctioning

Plus we have several new and expanded service lines including a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit updated labor and delivery suites a cardiac catheterization lab an interventional radiology suite additional surgery suites and expanded emergency and intensive care areas.
