To ensure accurate and timely processing and maintenance of all employee position changes pay changes and related data within the districts human resources and payroll systems. This role is vital for maintaining compliance with federal and state laws as well as district policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR payroll accounting or banking environment preferably within a public education setting.
4. Minimum 1 years experience with HR Information System (HRIS) and/or a finance system preferred; eFinance Plus Financial software experience a plus.
5. Working knowledge of HR transactions and employment processes.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel databases) google doc and Adobe Pro DC.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
9. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves as the subject matter expert related to HR data transactions for 18000 district personnel across 90 campuses: Professional Paraprofessional and Hourly as well as Temporary and Substitutes.
2. Process all position and pay changes for the district; new hires transfers promotions reclassifications position changes annual salary increases leave of absence terminations and retirements in the HR/Payroll systems accurately and on time.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify all data entries are timely and accurate for personnel changes before finalizing changes.

5. Verify all data entries for accuracy against supporting documentation prior to finalizing changes.
6. Audit HR personnel changes routinely to ensure accuracy and correct and discrepancies found on audits (number of pays below minimum error reports).
7. Coordinate with the Payroll department to ensure personnel paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner and discrepancies are resolved.
8. Reviews and verifies Teacher Retirement System (TRS) status PEIMS reporting to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) employee benefit deductions and contract type for accuracy based on eligibility guidelines and provided documentation. Serve as point of contact for employees and campus/department administrators regarding paycheck amounts first paycheck dates and annualized pay by referencing approved pay calculations and district procedures.
9. Create and maintain accurate employee records and personnel files ensuring all required documentation is present and current. Applies established policies procedures and guidelines to accurately process all data and all information relevant to payroll processing for employee position changes while maintaining confidentiality
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
